Privacy policy
What this website and Ethlin do with your data.
1. Who is responsible
Wohnwert Rühle GmbHrepresented by its managing director, Fabian Rühle
[Address]
Email: [Email address]
All company details are in the imprint.
2. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by [host, per the strategy: Strato]. When you open a page, the server processes what it technically needs to deliver it, such as your IP address, the address requested, the date and time, and your browser.
3. Nothing from other companies without your consent
Fonts, pictures and scripts on this website come from our own server. Loading a page opens no connection to any other company, and no cookies are set.
4. The waitlist
When you join the beta, your browser sends your email address to our own server at [Ethlin server address]. With it go the page's language (English or German) and where you came from: the address of the page with the form, or the campaign in the link that brought you. The server limits how many sign-ups it accepts in a row, so nobody can fill the list with other people's addresses. We use no outside form service.
We use your address to write to you when the beta is open for you, and to send you news about Ethlin.
5. Cookies and Google Ads
No advertising or analytics service is active on this website at the moment. "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page says so, and nothing is stored.
If we later use Google Ads to measure how our ads perform, this applies:
- On your first visit, a notice asks whether you agree. Declining is as easy as agreeing.
- Until you agree, every consent is set to "denied" and nothing is loaded from Google.
- Only after you agree does your browser load Google's script (from googletagmanager.com). It then measures whether someone joins the waitlist after clicking an ad.
- We keep your choice in your browser (in local storage, under the key
ethlin-consent), so we do not ask on every visit. "Cookie settings" changes it at any time.

8. The app: what leaves your computer
Ethlin runs on your computer. These stay there: listening and recognising your speech, the wake word, its voice (unless you choose ElevenLabs), the assistant's memory of you, your notes, boards and files, your keys and passwords.
Only what the AI model needs to think leaves your computer, and web searches you ask for. Where it goes is up to you:
- With AI included, requests go through our own server, which checks your account and counts usage, to [AI providers].
- With your own key, they go straight to the provider you chose (for example Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), under its terms.
- With a local model, none of it leaves your computer.
- ElevenLabs, if you choose it as the voice, receives the sentences the assistant speaks.
Sending mail, changing your calendar and sharing files happen only when you agree.
Meetings are recorded and transcribed on your computer and never uploaded. Only the finished transcript goes to your AI model, so it can write a summary.
9. Telegram
If you connect Ethlin to Telegram, you pair a private bot of your own. Messages, pictures, voice notes and files travel through Telegram to your computer. Voice notes are transcribed there, and files are kept under telegram/inbox. Answers go only to the paired chat. What goes through Telegram is subject to Telegram's terms.
